Music licensing and copyrights are often confusing.
If you were to want to abide by the law, and user agreements of most websites, you wouldn't be allowed to use any of the music you love in your online videos.

DFTBA Records wants to change that.

We now officially encourage you to use our artists' music as the background music in your videos. Or make a lip-syncing video. Or an epic montage. Whatever you'd like, so long as you own all of the footage in the video, and it is not just an upload of the song (or full album) on its own.

In exchange for the right to use our music in your online videos, we simply require you to credit the song you are using and include a link back to http://dftba.com in your video description.

For example: The song in this video is "Blink" by Chameleon Circuit, used with permission of http://dftba.com where you can buy the CD!

You may use any DFTBA-released songs from the following artists in your online videos:

- Hank Green
- Dave Days
- Chameleon Circuit
- Venetian Princess
- Alan Lastufka 
- Tom Milsom
- Driftless Pony Club
- Alex Day
- Dr. Noise
- ALL CAPS 

If the artist you'd like to use a song from is not listed above, then the artist has not given us permission for you to use their song for this program and you do not have our permission to use it.

Finally, we'd love to see where and how you're using our music. If you make a video including our music, you are encouraged, but not required, to email us a link at dftbarecords@gmail.com
